Child and Adolescent Core Services

The Imara Center Core Services are an array of behavioral health services available for youth up to age 18 with emotional and behavioral issues. These services are provided in-home and in-clinic. Services can be initiated by Parents, DJJ, DFCS Workers, School Counselors, Residential Facilities, Relatives, and Community Partners, etc. Through our diagnostic assessment, which is completed by a multidisciplinary team, a youth’s level of care and immediate service needs are determined and they are connected with services that will help them achieve their treatment goals. Family involvement is considered an important component of treatment, whenever possible. Core services include: Assessment and Treatment Planning, Psychiatric and Psychological Services; Individual and Family Counseling; Group Counseling and Training; Nursing Services; and Medication Management.

In School Services (ISS)

The Imara Center In-School Services (ICISS) initiative is a School Based Mental Health Services program whose goal is to transform school culture and data through comprehensive interventions. ICISS is an innovative program created to provide students with interventions and preventative measures to assist them with coping skills and better decision-making; to increase supportive services to the administration and teaching staff; and to offer parents and families psychoeducational services. ICISS is a culturally responsive, theoretically grounded, evidence based approach to managing the socio-emotional landscape within the educational arena.

Adult Behavioral Health Services

The Imara Center offers outpatient-counseling services to adults who need assistance dealing with emotional problems. We aim to treat the “whole person,” addressing each client’s physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cultural needs. We do this by creating and promoting conditions conducive to personal growth and development. We provide solution-focused outpatient treatment that aims to help individuals; couples and families attain optimal functioning at home, work and in society. Services such as marriage counseling, group and family counseling, and individual counseling are offered in the days and evenings.
